Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK), one of the major steelmakers in Russia announced to suspend its No.2 blast furnace (BF) at its Lipetsk works for 60 days, staring from July 6th.
NLMK indicated that the reduced demand for pig iron from domestic and overseas markets was the main reason for the firm to suspend its No. 2 BF at Lipetsk works.
Also, NLMK said that the suspension of No.2 BF at Lipetsk works will not affect its production of crude steel and steel products in the second half of this year.
